The methodology of Decoding X has been developed with the support of the Swedish Innovation Agency, Vinnova. A global mapping of educational initiatives was conducted to identify the needs of business and governmental agencies in managing the faster-than-ever changing of environments and market conditions. International collaborations have been established, mainly spanning the digital ecosystems in China, Germany and the USA. Together with leading actors in the digital transformation, Spotify, Whispr Group, Boston Consulting Group and Stockholm School of Economics, a series of workshops were hosted during the Spring of 2017, testing and elaborating on concepts and ideas for the program.

The workshops were combined with in-depth interviews with thought leaders and representatives from industry, academia and the public sector to provide guidance for the Decoding X modules, identifying unique key themes and topics for the program. In addition, a selection of internationally leading faculty and Nordic experts have been drafted to provide cutting-edge insights into concrete measures and steps towards successful digital leadership. The faculty have concrete insights from their respective fields and experience from leading transformative missions.
